Four steps to a patient license
Oklahoma is medical only, so this page of our Oklahoma dispensary guide is the front door to every store. It's all online.
- Book an Oklahoma MD, DO or podiatrist from OMMA's registered physicians list. Since January 1, 2026, a recommendation from an unregistered doctor is rejected automatically
- Get the signed Physician Recommendation Form. It has to be dated within 30 days of your application
- Apply online with proof of residency, a photo ID and a photo, and pay $104.30 by Visa, Mastercard or Discover
- The state decides within 14 business days by email, then the card prints in one or two business days and goes out by mail
There's no list of qualifying conditions. The physician decides, using the same standard as for any other medicine. Virtual visits are allowed, just not from inside a dispensary. Residency proof can be an Oklahoma license or ID, last month's utility bill, a deed, a current lease or last year's state tax return.
