Where the list comes from

Every store on Alexis 420 comes from a state regulator's own list of licensed retail dispensaries. Alexis 420 covers 36 states and DC, 9,777 stores.

How a store gets listed

  • We download each state's license list and keep only licensed retail storefronts.
  • Stores Google shows as closed, and licenses the state lists but that aren't confirmed open, stay hidden until a recheck shows them open.
  • Hours, phone numbers and map pins come from the store's own Google listing when it clearly matches the licensed store. Matches to other businesses are thrown out.
  • When an owner claims a store, what they post replaces what we found.

How often it's checked

Each state's list is pulled again on a schedule, and every page shows the date of the list it came from. A store that drops off its state's list comes off Alexis 420.

Corrections and removals

Anyone can report wrong info, and owners can claim a store to fix it themselves. Owners can remove a listing by confirming with a store email; it stays off when the state list updates.
