Is there weed delivery in Ohio?

Straight answer

Not for adult use. Ohio law allows delivery of medical marijuana only, and we haven't found a store running it yet. What works is ordering ahead and picking up, inside or, where the state has approved it, curbside or at a drive-up window.

How pickup works

Every legal order ends at a licensed store, and this page of our Ohio dispensary guide covers the ways to grab it.

  • Order. Use the store's online menu, and prepay if it offers that.
  • Show ID. Staff check a current photo ID at the hand-off, and the name has to match the order.
  • Curbside and drive-up. Both are legal once the state approves the store, with cameras on the pickup spot.
  • Medical hours. Some stores set hours for patients only. Ways to pay are in paying at Ohio dispensaries.

Medical delivery, on paper

The law lets dispensaries deliver to registered patients and caregivers under the regulator's rules, and Senate Bill 56 told the Division of Cannabis Control to write standards for medical drop-offs only. As of October 2026 we haven't found an adopted rule that puts it into operation, so don't expect a driver yet.

Adult-use drop-offs aren't in the law at all.

How to spot an unlicensed seller

Any account that offers to drop cannabis at your door isn't licensed. Selling without a dispensary license is charged as trafficking, unlicensed sellers owe a 10% tax on what they sell, and buyers can be on the hook for it too.

Real stores sit on the state's dispensary map and show the Division's seal in the entryway, and every package carries the store's name and license number. The state-by-state list is in our which states allow weed delivery guide.
