What's on you is what counts
What you can have on you is 2.5 ounces of flower and 15 grams of extract, store-bought and homegrown together. Every sale goes into the state's tracking system. We haven't found a rule that pools buys across different stores, but the state calls it your daily limit, so treat it as yours, not each store's.
Over the line, it's charged as drug possession. Under 100 grams is a minor misdemeanor with a fine up to $150, 100 to 200 grams a fourth-degree misdemeanor, and 200 grams or more a felony. Gifting is legal only on a private home or farm, up to the same amounts, and anywhere else it counts as trafficking. Edibles stay in their original package when you're not eating them.

Home grow, product caps and patients
- Home grow. Six plants per adult and 12 per home, locked away from anyone under 21 and out of public view. A lease can ban it, and one plant over the cap is now a crime.
- Package caps. Flower comes in packs of an ounce or less. Edibles stop at 10 mg a serving and 100 mg a pack, drinks at 10 mg a container, vapes at three per package, and infused pre-rolls at 500 mg each.
- Potency. Flower tops out at 35% THC. Extracts are capped at 70% by law, and the regulator's October 5, 2026 rule allows up to 90%.
- Patients. Same daily caps, plus up to four days in one trip, 10 ounces of flower and 60,000 mg of THC.
- A tenth. The old medical unit is a tenth of an ounce, 2.83 grams. The state's average price was $18.55 a tenth in early October 2026.
Every other state's cap, drawn in eighths, is in our dispensary purchase limits by state guide.
