How pickup works now
Delivery is the question we hear most, so this page of our Illinois dispensary guide lays out what is legal instead. A 2026 law kept home delivery off the table but let stores serve shoppers outside the front door, once the state signs off on each store's setup.
- Order ahead. Most stores take orders on their online menu, so you pick a time and skip the browsing line.
- Pull up. At a store with curbside or a window, staff check your ID and take payment right there.
- Ride home sealed. Leave it in the store's sealed package for the trip.
How can you get it?
Tap a way to get your order. Only pickups at the store itself are legal.
